Together We Can Change This World

Together we can change this world,

If all of the people in this world smoke less we will have cleaner air,

If all of the people in this world use less gas we will save more of it,

If all of the people in this world recycle more we will preserve more natural resources,

If all the people in this world would use less water we will have more water years later.

Together we can change this world,

The world will have fresh smelling air, healthier people, and more natural resources for future generations.

Together we can change this world,

If all of the people in this world don’t litter this world will be more beautiful,

If all the people in this world are nice and help each other the world will be nicer,

If all the people in this world give opportunities to the poor then everyone will have a good life,

If each of the people in this world chooses one orphan to take care of, all of the children will be loved.

Together we can change this world,

We will have a peaceful world with happier people.

Together we can make this world a better place!

The First Thanksgiving with a Happy, Dumb Turkey

One day, Running Red Feathers, the princess of Wampanoag, chased a turkey with a bow and arrow, along with a couple other Indians. This was their first time hunting a turkey. The turkey was small and colorful. They crept around making sure the turkey didn’t see them. Then, she whispered, “Ready, aim, fire!!!” They all fired their arrows, but missed. They shot the bush behind him. The dumb turkey just stood there, not making a single move. He didn’t even know what was going on; he just thought the arrows were flies. “Ready, aim, fire!” Running Red Feather whispered. This time, one of the arrows got really close to his ear. The turkey moved around a little, flapping its wings, but he still stayed there.

Suddenly, a little girl came up, and hugged the turkey. She had five red feathers sticking up from her long, black hair. Her frantic mother came running after her, shouting “No! Come back, Saving Red Feathers!” The little girl hugged the turkey, and wouldn’t let go. She was crying. She shouted, “No! No! You can’t do this, he’s just a turkey, and you know maybe he won’t even taste good! Please don’t kill him. I just can’t take it. I hate seeing things get killed.” She kept crying and hugging the turkey. Finally the princess said, “Alright, alright. I see your point, but I want to eat this turkey so I’ll give you two choices. Your choices are: shoot a berry off this turkey’s head from fifty feet away or I will kill the turkey.” Saving Red Feathers answered, “I’ll take the first choice.”
Running Red Feathers handed Saving Red Feathers her bow and arrow. Saving Red Feathers placed a gooseberry on top of the turkey’s head and it was too dumb to know that there was a berry on its head or that it was being aimed at. Saving Red Feathers comforted the turkey, “ I love you!” aimed in the silence and shot. She hit the exact middle of the berry and it split cleanly in two. The turkey just stood there looking confused.

“Let’s spare just this one turkey.” “Oh! Thank you. Running Red Feathers! Thank you!” The little girl said. She buried her face into the princess’s dress. The Wampanoag ate their feast (mashed potatoes, corn, beans etc.) without the turkey. Every man clinked their wine glasses, and said cheers. They all had a good time, and Running Red Feathers burped loudly when she was done, because it was polite back then. The rest burped along with the princess. Their bellies were very full, and after the burps, their stomachs felt better. The princess, Running Red Feathers, felt good for letting the dumb turkey go and being kind to a girl. It was good to do kind things.

A Tree

The tree was a tall adult standing outside on a sunny day. It was bursting with colors of bright red, orange, and yellow. The trunk of it was brown like the dirt. The tree was dancing with the gentle wind.

I smelled sweet sap. I heard a soft rustling-no I heard- Ah! A bear! Run for your lives! (This is the fictional part.)

I ran across my backyard to the deck, opened the gate on the deck, ran to the door, and knocked on it hard. In a few seconds, my dad opened the door, and said, “What?” in in a calm voice.

I shouted, “There’s-(pant)-a-(pant)-bear!” I pointed behind me, but there was no bear, just the tree.

Oh, oops. My dad was staring at me like I was crazy.

I went back to the tree, and got my pencil and notebook. I went into my house, but I was not in my house. I was in-I was in-I was falling in pitch-black darkness!

Ah!

I blinked my eyes three times hard. When I opened them the third time, I was- I was looking out the window of my room, and there was a big mark on my writing assignment. What in the world?

I was so confused!

Universal Studio is the best amusement park

I think you should go to Universal Studios in Disneyland.

I like Universal Studios best out of all the other amusement parks I have gone to, because it seems bigger. If you have ever been to Bush Gardens, it is a very small amusement park. My family went there before and I only took one day to play on all the rides. Universal Studios is much bigger than that, Jade and I could not finish all the rides in two days. We were 2 years younger back then. Speaking of age…

Universal Studios has games and rides for all ages. Sesame Place only has rides for little kids, so older children would not have much fun there. Also, the workers there let all the little kids get on without even measuring them.
At Universal Studios they make sure you are at an appropriate height. The workers there measure you if they think you are too tall or too short. That makes it safe. If you are too short you might get scared and cry, and if you are too tall you might be too heavy and be bored.

That is why you should go to Universal Studios.
